Edmonton, 23rd August, 2018 - Validata Group, the leader in DevOps and Continuous Testing for Temenos Core Banking has been selected by Canadian Western Bank (CWB) to support their QA and DevOps initiatives through its unified DevTestOps platform.
Headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, CWB is one the leading banks in Canada serving businesses and individuals across Canada, through a full-service business and personal banking network of 40+ branches. CWB is a user of Temenos Core Banking for its commercial and retail banking services.
The selection process included an extensive proof of concept exercise, where Validata showcased its technologies and successfully met the success criteria and requirements set by the bank. CWB’s decision to partner with Validata was driven by a number of objectives including the need to accelerate application delivery, the need for reusability and scalability and the need to find a trusted partner with deep domain knowledge and expertise around Temenos apps. CWB is further looking to use the Validata open design structure to implement the tool for other critical applications as well.
CWB will be using Validata’s DevOps and Continuous testing platform for their release automation and management of all Temenos release packages (i.e. Build Control ‘Bcons’, TAMs and Core Updates). To accelerate data provisioning and data environments management, CWB will adopt Validata’s Dynamic Data Platform and its Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) offering (V-Conn). DaaS will eliminate significant infrastructure costs (i.e. storage) and will deliver data to the project teams faster and significantly accelerate the pace of development and testing.
Azfar Karimuddin, VP Information Services at Canadian Western Bank commented “We have selected Validata for their proven Temenos integration capability in other successful implementations at many financial institutions in Canada and worldwide. We are confident that their solutions will accelerate our testing efforts and time to market of improved functionalities and quality, enhancing the value of the Temenos application.”
“We are delighted with our record of recent successes in Canada and that CWB has placed their confidence in us as a technology partner. Following the agreements with Royal Bank of Canada, FirstOntario and Integris Credit Unions, this deal further demonstrates our position as a technology leader in the region and we look forward to supporting them during their transformation initiatives,” added Vaios Vaitsis, Founder and CEO at Validata Group.
