Kigali, Rwanda and London, UK, December 18th, 2020, – Validata Group announces it has been selected by Bank of Kigali Plc to assist its data migration automation and T24 Testing automation from legacy system to Temenos Transact.
Bank of Kigali Plc has grown to be the largest retail and commercial bank in Rwanda with an extensive distribution network of branches, ATMs and agents serving more than 350,000 clients. Since 2009, the bank has been recognized for eight years running as the Best Bank in Rwanda by Emeafinance and for seven years as Bank of the Year by The Banker.
In an effort to offer next-generation banking services to its clients and expand its customer base to one million people in the medium term, Bank of Kigali embarked on a major digital transformation program and selected Temenos Transact as its new core banking system.
Having started its journey towards modernizing its technology systems, the bank recognized that having a strong partner with extensive knowledge and domain expertise in the Temenos market would be the key to securing the successful delivery of the project. Through an exhaustive RFP process, Bank of Kigali selected Validata, as their partner to assist in the data migration from the legacy system and in end-to-end test automation of Temenos R19.
Validata’s test automation platform challenges traditional testing tools, with a revolutionary model-driven hyperautomation approach, powered by AI, iRPA and analytics, allowing it to automate more and provide better testing in less time, empowering teams to get a better result than manual testing and provide better user experience. It eliminates the data wait with on demand data access and assists the user to perform automated tests as and when required, with optimal coverage against business risk. It drives to the precise root cause of the issues, and identifies the optimal workflows, testing paths, and recommends the ‘next best actions’. Teams can now deliver a 24 days’ worth of testing in 24 hours and save up to 60% of the analysis time spent on test case design and bug fixing.
Additionally, Validata’s dynamic data platform is able to simplify, de-risk and accelerate the migration process with a proven track record of successful Temenos migration projects globally.
The breadth of capabilities of Validata’s AI-powered solutions, agility and scalability made the decision a no-brainer, with Validata winning against frequent competitors in the Temenos market space, such as HP and Atoma technologies.
Dr. Diane Karusisi, CEO at Bank of Kigali Plc, commented, “Validata is best positioned to help us realize data migration and testing automation for our digital transformation strategy. We chose them to be our partner as they have a proven track record globally in delivering successful Temenos migration and testing projects. With the help of their AI-powered solutions and pre-built testing assets, we will be able to accelerate our business innovation by minimizing the business risks.”
“We look forward to be working together with Bank of Kigali Plc as their technology partner in this digital transformation journey. Our solutions powered by AI, employ a model-based, no-code approach for end-to-end migration and intelligent test automation, bridging existing and new solutions, enabling banks to run and transform their business at the same time, by modernizing their core systems and achieve better business resiliency while approaching a "digital to the core" strategy,” added Vaios Vaitsis, CEO at Validata Group.
