Validata Group, the leading provider of Validata SAS, the first truly integrated Automation Lifecycle Management solution for the Banking and Finance Sector, is pleased to announce that EastWest Banking Corporation (EWB) in Philippines have chosen Validata Performance Tester to optimize their performance.
With a large network of branches and client base, EWB realized that it was becoming a necessity to validate and optimise their environment. They identified the need for a performance testing tool to simplify, de-risk and accelerate the performance testing lifecycle and create a robust environment to continue to provide to their customers a level of service of high quality and performance.
Unlike traditional performance testing approaches, where performance testing teams are involved very late in the implementation lifecycle and applications are tested and tuned at the latest stages of the project, Validata Performance Tester is designed to meet business needs as environments constantly change, enabling deeper testing coverage as well as managing the performance testing process from start to finish, delivering a faster and cost-effective approach to test the scalability and availability of the banks’ critical applications.
The bank was able to concentrate their resources more effectively, and together were able to identify design issues and performance bottlenecks.
Vaios Vaitsis, Founder and CEO of Validata Group said, “Eastwest Bank have been users of our solutions for over a year now and in that time we have built a strong relationship with them. It was pleasing then to be able to extend this service to Performance Testing and be able to deliver real value in their projects.”
“Speaking in numbers, we utilized time and resources effectively to reduce timeouts from 50% to 0%. We simulated 4000 virtual users and 8000 daily transactions committed successfully in the system for less than a minute after implemented fixes. This has resulted in increased quality and productivity and the most impressive is that now we have 100% reusability on those tests assets with minimum effort to maintain them”, added Nikos Gialamas, Validata Projects Director.
Randy A. Evangellista, FVP & Head Information Technology Group, commented “Apart from the excellent co-operation between Validata and EWB resources, the decision was also influenced by the capability and reusability that Validata software could provide. The missing piece was the performance testing integration and now that’s in place as well. That’s been a big deal.”
