Streamlining end-to-end testing for seamless digital transformation

Company Overview

The American Challenger Development Corp (ACDC) is a major new challenger digital bank in the US, planning to offer retail and commercial banking products to Generation X users. The bank selected the full Temenos Suite in the Temenos banking Cloud 2.0 – Temenos Transact, Temenos Infinity, Payment Hub, Data Hub and FCM, along with a number of satellite systems.

Opportunity

After evaluating several alternatives, the bank selected Validata to validate the initial system build and perform early functional, System Integration Testing, Performance Testing and UAT support for their customised Temenos R21 US Model Bank implementation, including:

API testing (including service virtualisation),
End-to-end workflow testing from digital channels through to Temenos Transact and onwards to downstream systems.
Synthetic test data generation for all testing areas to ensure full data & risk coverage.

From a DevOps perspective Validata platform integrates with the bank’s chosen platforms:

Jira real-time integration - for requirements, in sprint testing and release coordination
Azure DevOps for the bank’s own deployments
Temenos Cloud 2.0 deployments

Challenges

ACDC needed to perform end-to-end testing, encompassing digital channels, Temenos Transact, and downstream systems. Ensuring smooth integration and validating the complete flow of data and processes posed a challenge due to the complexity of the system landscape.
