Validata Group shortlisted for 25 DevOps Solutions Transforming Business

The CIO Solutions magazine (www.theciosolutions.com) is issuing a special edition on DevOps Solutions available in the market. In this context the CIO Solutions editorial team screened 350 companies and subsequently shortlisted 40 companies, out of which they reached the top 25.

Validata Group is pleased to have been selected amongst the top 25 DevOps companies and below is the interview with Vaios Vaitsis, Founder and CEO of Validata Group:

SMAC (Social, Media and Analytics in the Cloud) and Digital Technology are changing the behavior of organizations across all industries and as a result, a dramatic change can be identified in end customer experiences, operational processes, and business models for engagement. There is a growing demand for flexible and faster delivery of software. The barrier to achieving success in the software delivery process is likely to be the inability of testers to align test automation to the development processes. By implementing the Agile/DevOps philosophy and enforcing full lifecycle automation, the Quality Assurance (QA) organizations can yield just in-time process improvement metrics.

“The biggest challenge we address is the integration of digital into legacy apps. We enable clients test both their legacy and new digital/mobile apps by following a consistent approach across multiple platforms, accelerating application delivery and time to market,” says Vaios Vaitsis, Founder and President, Validata. “With our unified testing, release and process optimization approach we can create a huge impact on performance and productivity.”

Validata offers Enterprise Software Testing and Release Automation solutions, helping clients build competitive advantage, maximizing the speed of implementations and upgrades and accelerate time-to-market for new releases. “We drive quality and velocity—removing process complexities with increased release cycles,” adds Vaitsis. “Validata follows a unified approach to Test Data Management (TDM), release and process workflow optimization and automation and cloud.” Fast data enables more frequent testing, identifying bugs that eliminates future rework which accounts for 20 percent of software development budget making the integration cycle easier to maintain continuous delivery.

Validata provides the first unified Test Automation platform for DevOps and QA, built from the ground up with Agile and cloud in mind, to bring together requirements, testing, defects, planning, resources, development and deployment. It is capable of integrating with external systems and delivering a ‘single version of the truth’ enabling continuous delivery, integration and monitoring. The company’s solution Validata360° enables an end-to-end Quality Performance Management solution for projects and application delivery initiatives. Validata360° can adapt to changing requirements in hours rather than weeks and has been designed to address complex DevOps project needs by using actionable and understandable KPIs. Validata also offers Automated Lifecycle Management (ALM) suite that is a central platform for integrated tools, built for the Banking and Finance sector. It focuses on managing core automated lifecycle activities such as testing and configuration management, allowing banks to encourage best practices by capturing and reusing project assets and process knowledge. In addition, Validata SAS enables clear division between technical detail and high level business flow modeling making delivery of reusable automated test suites and its maintenance an inexpensive and simple task. The tool offers end-to-end technical and business testing, from parameterization, COB and Non-Stop transactions till accounting checks and local code.

According to Vaitsis, business logic in a bank is complex and requires experience and significant effort to develop test cases that will thoroughly exercise the system and reduce the risk of errors when project is deployed. Validata offers an integrated platform including pre-built accelerators to support banks that want to implement capabilities faster, improve innovation and increase customer satisfaction. Automated testing using Validata’s platform makes it possible to test the complete software stack, run more tests during development and provide the ability to manage the list of releases.

“We will contribute towards aligning business objectives and IT outcomes for our client’s and offer the best DevOps solutions,” concludes Vaitsis. The missing link to bridge the gap between Dev and Ops is ‘Continuous Testing’. Continuous Testing involves applying the methods and concepts of agile development to the testing and QA process, resulting in a more efficient testing process. Validata enables its clients establish a well planned QA strategy, involving service virtualisation, test automation, risk management, test data management and analytics, to align Dev, Ops and QA/Testing as part of the true DevOps philosophy.
