The NLB Group is the largest banking and financial group in Slovenia with a strategic focus on selected markets in SEE supporting its clients through retail, corporate, and investment banking services. Following the merger of N Banka and NLB several data migrations between homegrown and legacy systems from TCS and Asseco are planned that will result in creation of one coherent IT platform for the merged bank.
As an existing, Validata partner, we knew that Validata with their tool would support us through this successful core banking transformation. There was an exemplary collaboration with the Data Migration and Financial Reconciliation teams of Validata.
The bank selected Validata after an RFP process and an in-depth, extensive Proof of Concept exercise, where Validata outperformed the competition. Validata ConnectIQ is used for the data modelling, validation, transformation with more than 80 data mappings, and loading of normalized data into Temenos Transact R22 as well as the bank’s data warehouses and other downstream systems. It will also be used for migration and financial reconciliation performing checks like field-to-field, check-sums (balances of all loans, …), GL-reconciliation etc.
