Business Need
In an effort to offer next‐generation banking services to its clients and expand its customer base to one million people in the medium term, Bank of Kigali embarked on a major digital transformation program and selected Temenos Transact as its new core banking system.
Solution
Through an exhaustive RFP process, Bank of Kigali selected Validata, as their partner to assist in the data migration from the legacy system and in end‐to‐end test automation of Temenos R20. Validata’s dynamic DataOps platform, ConnectIQ was employed for data migration from two source systems, Amplitude and T24 R16 to Temenos Transact R20. Validata assisted the bank on the analysis, design, build and execution of the migration which included static and financial data on a number of Temenos modules.
The activities that took place were: Data Cleansing, Data Consolidation, Data Extraction, Transformation, Loading and Migration Reconciliation. Customer data resided in both Amplitude and R16, so this data was first consolidated and then loaded to Temenos R20.
